This visa program stands out for its flexibility, accommodating projects across a wide range of industries - from hospitality and retail to manufacturing and trade. Unlike the Projet Innovant program, which focuses primarily on technology startups, the Création d’Entreprise visa is open to diverse business ventures. However, it does require specific steps: you must first register your business, invest the required €30,000, and then secure visa approval.

Benefits of the Création d’Entreprise Visa

The Création d’Entreprise visa offers a streamlined path for entrepreneurs looking to establish themselves in France. After entering the country with a Long-Stay (D) visa, you’ll receive an initial residence permit valid for 1 year. This can later be renewed for up to 4 years and extended indefinitely, provided you continue to meet the required conditions.
Flexibility for Solo or Group Applications
Whether you’re launching your venture independently or with co-founders, this visa accommodates both scenarios. For group applications, each co-founder must invest at least €30,000, and all applications will be reviewed and considered collectively.
Family-Friendly Relocation
Spouses and children under 18 receive “Talent - Famille” visas, valid for the same duration as the primary applicant’s. Spouses are granted the right to work in France, while children can attend public schools and kindergartens. Upon turning 18, children can transition to an “Enfant majeur” visa.
Pathway to Citizenship
After 5 years of residency, you can apply for permanent residence or French citizenship. To qualify, you’ll need to demonstrate that you’ve spent the majority of your time in France, submit tax returns, and pass a language exam at a B2 level or higher.
Access to Healthcare and Education
Founders and their families receive state health insurance and enjoy free access to French schools, universities, and language courses.
No Language Proficiency Requirements
Unlike some other visas, there are no French language prerequisites for obtaining this visa or securing a residence permit.
Quick Processing
Applications are typically reviewed in just 4 to 6 months.
Applicant Requirements:
  • Active Business Registration: Establishing a company in France with a minimum investment of €30,000.
  • Educational or Professional Background: A minimum of a Master’s degree or at least 5 years of professional experience is required.
  • Approved Business Plan: Submit a business plan approved by the French Ministry of Economy (DRIEETS).
  • Proof of Residency in France: Submit documentation verifying your address in France, such as a rental agreement or an attestation d’hébergement
  • Financial Proof: Evidence of sufficient funds is required, amounting to at least the annual minimum wage (SMIC), currently set at approximately €21,600 per year, for the primary applicant and approximately €12,000 for each dependent family member.

What Does Our Service Include?
Navigating the process of obtaining a Création d’Entreprise visa and residence permit in France involves several key steps. Here’s how we guide you every step of the way:
1. Initial Consultation and Strategy Development
We begin by conducting an in-depth interview to evaluate the project’s feasibility, ensure it meets the standards set by the French Ministry of Economy (DRIEETS), and tailor it to align with local realities..
2. Crafting a Business Plan
Using the provided data, we work to structure and refine your business plan, focusing on viability, logistics, and a compelling case for investment. The final document is carefully tailored to meet DRIEETS requirements, maximizing the likelihood of swift approval.
3. Establishing a Business and Making Investments
We assist with the entire process of registering a legal entity in France, setting up an escrow account, and ensuring the minimum required investment of €30,000 (for a single founder) is completed seamlessly.
4. Submitting Your Project to DRIEETS
On your behalf, we prepare and submit the application to the Ministry of Economy (DRIEETS). This step is essential to secure an official letter of support, affirming the “real and serious nature” of your project. The review and processing time typically takes 1 to 3 months.
5. Securing a Long-Stay (D) Visa
We help you prepare, translate and organize all the necessary documents required to secure a D visa at the French consulate. From bank statements and proof of residence in France to a motivation letter and photos, we ensure every detail is handled with care. The visa approval process typically takes around 1 month.
6. Arriving in France and Obtaining Your Residence Permit
Visas are issued at the discretion of the consulate and may be granted for either 3 months or 1 year. If you receive a 3-month visa, you must enter France within this period and promptly apply for a residence permit. If granted a 1-year visa, it also serves as a temporary residence permit, but you will need to apply for a formal residence card at least 4 months before the visa expires.

We also assist with the renewal of your residence permit, ensuring you meet the necessary requirements. This includes demonstrating that your business is active, taxes are paid in France, you reside in the country for the majority of the year, and you maintain a clean criminal record.

After 5 years of residence, you and your family (spouse and children under 18) may qualify for permanent residency (titre de séjour résident) or French citizenship. To apply for naturalisation, proficiency in French at a B2 level is required.
With our comprehensive support, we’ll be by your side from day one, ensuring a smooth transition and addressing any challenges as you settle into life in France.
